Hospice Volunteer Agreement

We ask volunteers to sign a one-year contract stating that you are available to provide an average of 2-4 hours per week. This is based on your schedule and the needs of patients and families. What kind of training do you offer for new volunteers? Yes, we offer a variety of meetings and activities, education and services throughout the year. Volunteers are also continuously supported by the palliative care team. The comprehensive training of the EvergreenHealth Hospice Volunteer Program includes the history of the hospice and philosophy. We explore pain and symptom management, spiritual care, boundaries, ethical issues, family systems, diversity, loss and bereavement. We help them become aware of your feelings and experiences of death and death, and we develop your hearing abilities so that you can be fully present to those we serve. Each participant receives a certificate at the end of the training. What qualities do you look for in a voluntary hospice? You can start the application process by submitting our application online. You can also email LstHospiceVolunteers@evergreenhealth.com or call 425.899.1070 if you have any questions or would like to send yourself a request.
